Yazmina & Alejandro, siblings from Peru and lifelong animal lovers.

In September 2024 they started Samaha's Garden, a rescue center for exploited and working animals in Kemalpaşa, Izmir, Türkiye.

 

Inspired by their childhood efforts rescuing street animals and especially by Samaha, a dog Alejandro saved in Egypt.

Samaha's Garden now shelters more than 30 dogs.

Alejandro works full-time at the center.

Despite limited resources and worsening conditions for strays in Türkiye,

they continue their mission to rescue, care for,

and promote the rescue and adoption of abandoned animals.

They call for support and emphasize that stray animal adoption is a lifelong responsibility.
